"Illuminated Flesh" follows the story of Friar Alpha, a 13th century Benedictine monk turned tattoo artist. Beautiful color illustrations compliment the 12 page story chronicling his life in the scriptorium at Westminster Abbey, to his chance encounter with a pilgrim, to his life-changing pilgrimage to Jerusalem where he learns how to tattoo.

Celine vs. the peasants:
A Christmas story
I made up a story that Celine Dion lives two blocks from our home. It all started several years ago when the holidays were on the horizon and the neighborhood was beginning to decorate. We live in a transitional neighborhood between really wealthy people who live in mansions and slightly less wealthy people who live in regular houses, interspersed with the occasional plebeian who lives in an apartment building (that's us). Not too far from us, there is a mansion in the style of a French chateau with an iron gate and perfectly manicured hedges. This is where Celine lives. Next door is a ranch style one story house that's fairly modest in comparison. This is where the peasants live. They do not have names because they are peasants and this is a fictional story.
